Learning Preferences Learning depends on a large number of factors, many of which are specific
to the individual person. The individual learning preferences or style
represents the particular set of strengths and preferences that an individual
or group of people has in how they take in and process information.
The idea of a learning preference is certainly a controversial one,
and one which there is little agreement over. The most commonly accepted
definition is "the composite of characteristic cognitive, affective,
and physiological factors that serve as relatively stable indicators
of how a learner perceives, interacts with, and responds to the learning
environment."
